The Unison union has called on its local government branches in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to consult members for the 2014/2015 pay claim.
Branch secretaries are encouraged to consult “as widely as possible” and submit responses by Friday 4 October.
The union is proposing two options for branches to support.
Both mean a fight for the Living Wage to become the basic rate of pay for local government workers.
