Asylum seeker Manjeet Kaur won an important victory on Thursday of last week after plans to evict her were stopped at appeal.
Around 50 supporters gathered outside Manchester Tribunal Service.
There were huge cheers when it was announced she had won. But wheelchair user Manjeet was forced to miss the verdict after a transport blunder where the Home Office arranged for a non?accessible taxi to take her to the court.
Manjeet eventually arrived to a triumphant reception.
She told Socialist Worker, “I feel victorious and thankful for everybody’s support. It’s our victory.
“It is a fight for everybody who is disabled. I will win leave to remain in the UK.”
