Around 250 council workers joined a march and rally in Neath, South Wales, last Saturday to protest at the New Labour council’s plan to cut more than 750 jobs.
Many were care workers, and meals on wheels workers who also face job cuts attended.
The protest was organised by the Unison union and GMB and PCS members turned out in numbers along with Defend Council Housing activists who are in the middle of a ballot to decide on the future of council homes in Neath and Port Talbot.
