Activists are preparing for a demonstration to defend library services in Winchester, Hampshire, this Saturday.

The council has announced £2 million worth of cuts to library services – which would cut one in seven library posts.

The demonstration will assemble at 12 noon on Saturday 10 July at the Buttercross, Winchester High Street.
