People aged 18-24 are now more likely to be unemployed than they were before the recession, according to analysis by the TUC.
It shows a shortfall of 395,000 jobs for youth employment alone, up 10.5 percent since 2008.
There is also a shortfall of 164,000 jobs for “prime age” workers aged 25-49, up 2.4 percent in five years.
