Issue 1952

Dave Lambert was a lifelong socialist and community activist who died suddenly from a stroke last week, aged 58.

Dave was born and brought up in Watford where he was a print worker and activist in CND and the Young Socialists.

He moved to Harlow in the 1970s and joined the International Socialists (IS), helping to build Harlow IS into one of the most successful branches.

More recently Dave was a key figure in campaigns to save Harlow’s planned environment from threats by the forces of commerce and New Labour.

He will be greatly missed.

Dave’s funeral is at Harlow Crematorium, Essex, on Friday 20 May at 12 noon. All comrades are welcome.
