It is with very great sadness that comrades in north west London learned that Harriet Keegan Pursani, one of our longstanding and much loved comrades, died on 10 February after a most courageous fight against cancer.
Harriet and her partner, Ashok Pursani, were central to the running of Harlesden SWP branch for a long time.
They organised regular meetings and paper sales with tremendous commitment and reliability until a series of family tragedies, illness and finally the cancer made it impossible for them to carry on.
Harriet was an enormously warm person, always positive, always laughing and always ready to help others.
Ashok and Harriet were married on 6 February. Ashok, and their young son Setesh, are determined to carry on campaigning against cancer in Harriet’s memory.
Ashok asks that comrades and friends make a donation to the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.
