SOCIALISTS IN Cardiff were saddened to hear of the tragic death of Terry Jenkins. Terry, who had moved to St Dogmaels, Cardigan, some months ago, was a well known socialist in Cardiff. After joining the Young Communist League he joined the International Socialists in the 1970s and was an active member of SWP for many years.
FRIENDS AND comrades of Martin Yates were shocked to hear of his tragic death. Martin was an active trade unionist in the civil service for 30 years and a leading member of the PCS and the Socialist Alliance in Merseyside.

CHARLIE MOORE, a lifelong socialist, trade unionist and working class fighter, died last week aged 89.
MANY PEOPLE will be deeply saddened to hear of the death of Linda Morgan last week after a short illness. Linda became a political activist in the mid-1970s following her involvement in the Inland Revenue Staff Federation. She became a key figure in the rank and file organisation and was elected to her union's executive on a socialist platform.
ANNE HOWARTH, friend and comrade, died on 12 May 2003, aged 47. Anne joined the Socialist Workers Party when she was a student activist at Middlesex Poly. She was an active member throughout the 1980s-in Tottenham, Holloway Road and Hornsea branches when she was in London, and in the late 1980s in Stoke branch.
MANY IN York were shocked by the sudden death of Colin Clark. Colin fought for socialism in the Labour Party and in engineering and council workplaces in the West Midlands during the 1960s and 70s. Let down by Labour, he joined the Socialist Workers Party in York. In his early fifties he successfully studied for a degree in History and Spanish.
