United States president Donald Trump invited warmonger Tony Blair to discuss the carve up of Gaza.

The former British prime minister wants Gaza to be a modern trade hub and resort destination.

While they discuss their “peace” plan, the relentless Israeli bombardment of Gaza City has intensified, even as Palestinians starve.

Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu is determined to press ahead with the invasion of the whole of Gaza.

He has dismissed the growing protests within Israel, including of people who worry the war will endanger Israeli hostages.

Netanyahu said, “Those who call for ending the war are pushing off the hostages’ release and guaranteeing the horrors of the massacre will return.”

When asked about the plan for a Palestinian state, Israel’s foreign minister Gideon Saar replied that there would not be any.

The Israeli terror state is using overwhelming force, destroying whole blocks with tanks and warplanes. Palestinians report that they are unable to leave their homes and have nowhere to go.

Around one million people live in Gaza City. Many of them have already been displaced from other parts of Gaza during the nearly two years of Israel’s genocidal assault.

The Israeli state has deliberately pushed Gaza towards famine, systematically restricting access to essential goods and destroying farms and greenhouses. It is part of a strategy to control Palestinians through mass starvation.

Research by the Forensic Architecture group found that, “Israel has systematically dismantled the long-standing and effective ‘civilian model’ of aid distribution through aid organisations and the local community.

“In its place, Israel has established a ‘military model’ of aid distribution which carries out starvation rationing. Through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) and airdropped aid, Israel has created dependency upon a system which is, we conclude, deadly by design.”

The United Nations run aid distribution network had operated 400 sites across Gaza. Now this has been replaced by just four “mega sites” operated by the Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Palestinians are forced to travel long distances to find food aid and to enter active combat zones. Soldiers use live ammunition against people seeking food aid, with over 1,300 people killed in the last three months alone.

People in Gaza are starving to death. Ten Palestinians, including two children, died of starvation on Wednesday. And seven adults died of starvation on last Sunday.

All members of the UN Security Council except the US have now backed the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report released last week. It confirms that there is a famine in Gaza and that it is a “man-made” crisis.

Although there is some food available at markets, prices have skyrocketed. And the food does not have the adequate nutrition to help people who are facing starvation.

There has also been a surge in violence from the Israel Defense Forces and from Israeli settlers in the West Bank during the attack on Gaza.

Israeli troops carried out an early morning raid in the city of Nablus on Wednesday. Hundreds of soldiers stormed houses and shops, injuring dozens of people.

Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has said the slaughter in Gaza will be over in four months. He said, “We’re going to settle this one way or another, certainly before the end of this year.”

He added, “It’s a very comprehensive plan we’re putting together” that “reflects President Trump’s humanitarian motives here.”

Trump put forward proposals earlier this year that the US could take over the Gaza strip. It’s a plan for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

And former Labour prime minister Tony Blair will forever be remembered as the prime minister who led Britain into a war in Iraq that killed a million people. He backed an imperialist conflict in the face of huge opposition from the anti-war movement.

The war criminal should be in the Hague facing trial for mass murder, not trying to get his hands on more of the Middle East.

The current Labour government is not just complicit in the genocide in Gaza, it is playing an active role supplying parts for fighter jets and using RAF spy planes to aid the genocide.

Everyone should be on the streets demanding an arms embargo and an end to trade with Israel.
