Black & Blue is a new literary publication that aims to bring a radical and socialist perspective to drama, prose, poetry and other forms of writing.
“We feel the literary scene is severely middle aged and middle class,” says editor Alex Marsh. Black & Blue aims to print work from “disenfranchised” voices.
The first issue debuts in September and includes thoughts from homeless people, prisoners and hospital patients in Manchester about the state of the city.
The Black & Blue website has more details, including its manifesto and submission guidelines for budding writers.
