The Redbridge Museum in Ilford, Essex, is hosting an exhibition looking at the life of Sylvia Pankhurst, the radical suffragette and socialist campaigner who lived in nearby Woodford between 1924 and 1956.

The Redbridge Museum in Ilford, Essex, is hosting an exhibition looking at the life of Sylvia Pankhurst, the radical suffragette and socialist campaigner who lived in nearby Woodford between 1924 and 1956.

The exhibition includes many items related to the struggle for women’s right to vote, as well as a selection of Sylvia Pankhurst’s writings and artworks.

The Redbridge Museum is located inside the Central Library building and entry to the exhibition is free.

Celebrating Sylvia Pankhurst runs at the Redbridge Museum, Clements Road, Ilford, Essex, until 21 June
