Crude – The Real Price of Oil

This film charts the long battle of the people of Amazonian Ecuador against oil giant Chevron.

The firm poisoned rivers and drinking water, spreading diseases and bringing the local tribes’ way of life to the brink of extinction.

Chevron’s lack of remorse and ability to avoid being found guilty is a shameful example of how big business can use its billions to manipulate the system.

This story doesn’t reach a happy ending.

But it does show people fighting back under the harshest of conditions, determined to stand up against injustice and fight for a better world.
