Four Horsemen, which is released this week, is the latest independently produced documentary feature to examine the 2007 global financial crash and its aftermath.
Written and directed by Ross Ashcroft, it features contributions from Noam Chomsky, Joseph Stiglitz, Richard Wilkinson and Ha‑Joon Chang among others.
Ashcroft says he set out to try and explain why the crash happened without “dumbing down”.The film looks at the work of “renegade economists” who make fundamental criticisms of mainstream economic thinking.
