This new album from US activist and singer Jon Fromer highlights issues such as class and race through modern blues and folk songs.
There is no doubting the artist’s credentials and talent with songs like “Another Black Man Gone”, which tackles the issue of racism in the US. The combination of jazz and folk makes it accessible to a younger generation.
Although powerful in its message this album lacks some of the resonance of earlier singer-activists.
