Let Me In is a chilling and mature vampire film about two isolated, lonely 12 year old children (though one may have “been 12 for a very long time”).

There are no simplistic divisions here between good and evil. The vampire’s desperate need for blood fits into an icy world of school bullying and half heard violence.

It is a remake of the truly original Swedish film Let The Right One In, and outshines most Hollywood versions of foreign films. But there is nothing that is not better in the original.
