This two disc CD is a trilogy. The first part, No Hay Caminos, commemorates the Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky.
The second is based round a poem by Giordano Bruno, burnt to death by the inquisition in Rome in 1600.
The third piece, written just before Nono’s death, is more personal.
Luigi Nono is one of the great 20th century composers whose Marxism infuses his work.
