It follows the true story of Nottingham social worker Margaret Humphreys as she exposes the treatment of 130,000 children “relocated” to Australia between the end of the Second World War and the early 1970s.
This was part of a racist plan to populate Australia with “white stock”.
There was far more to the horrors the children faced than is shown in this film. But it does well to uncover this largely hidden history.
