This CD brings us songs from this spring’s uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt.
Tunisian rapper El General was imprisoned after recording “Rais Lebled” (“Head of the Country”).
The compilation also includes Zohra Lajnef’s “Tounis Hurra” (“Free Tunisia”) and Mohamed Mounir’s “Ezzay?” (“Why?”).
The music ranges from traditional music through folk to rock and hip-hop.
