Political hip-hop artist Lowkey will be known to many from his performances at Stop the War protests and others.
His new album is a celebration of struggle, but also a stabbing critique of crooked politicians and the politics of war and greed.
Its songs include “Obama Nation”, “Voice of the Voiceless” and a track many of us will have heard at rallies, “Long Live Palestine”.
Soundtrack to the Struggle is Lowkey’s first album to enter the British charts, and this is no doubt due to the artist’s engagement with the injustices that concern and affect young people in Britain today.
