This special season of free film screenings provides a unique opportunity to follow the revolt that 20 years ago liberated Polish society from Stalinist dictatorship.
The season draws together 20 films to celebrate the events of 1989, when the regime finally crumbled. The cinematic journey starts with Stalin’s death and finishes in today’s Poland.
Two famous films by Andrzej Wajda – Man Of Marble and Man Of Iron – picture two generations of people fighting for their dignity, while Krzysztof Kieslowski’s documentaries show the reality of life under so-called “Communism”.
