Southern rail was hit by a three-day train guards’ strike and a drivers’ overtime ban from Tuesday of this week.

Tube drivers’ strikes on London Underground’s Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines, set for Tuesday, were suspended by the workers’ RMT union.

Train drivers on Southern rail have voted by 87 percent to strike. Their first walkout is planned for 13 and 14 December.

A fresh 48-hour strike by Southern train guards that began today, Friday, saw strikers furious at bullying and victimisation of trade unionists from bosses.
