NUT union members in sixth form colleges across England are set to strike on Tuesday 15 March. They are fighting the impact of Tory funding cuts on teachers’ conditions—and want to stop the assault on education.
College workers across England were set to strike on Wednesday of this week over pay. The walkout, by UCU and Unison union members, will be the first joint pay strike in ten years.
Unison union president Wendy Nichols said last week that the long-awaited returning officer’s report into the general secretary election “confirms the result”.
