Fujitsu workers from Manchester travelled to London last week to meet MPs. The workers, members of the Amicus union, wanted to discuss their ongoing dispute.

It has also threatened disciplinary action against Ian Allinson, the senior Amicus Rep, as part of an effort to attack the union by reducing facility time in the middle of the dispute.

Around 2,300 Amicus union members at the Derby Rolls Royce plant are holding a one-hour strike at the end of their shifts every day this week. The workers are also working to rule.

Over 60 people lobbied the disciplinary hearing for Chesterfield PCS activist Gill Whittaker on Friday of last week. Those attending included delegations from the GMB, CWU, Amicus, UCU unions, Chesterfield trades council and the Derbyshire Unemployed Workers’ Centre. Speakers at the rally included Paul Holmes MP.
