Tilbury Dockers have returned to work after winning the battle against employer SCA Logistics’ attempts to impose zero hours contracts. 

Some 180 delegates of the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers' Union (Bfawu) gathered at the union's annual conference in Southport this week.

Twenty four dockers working for SCA Logistics based at Tilbury Docks in Essex began an 11-day strike on Thursday of last week. 

Teachers at the Stem 6 Academy in Islington, north London, were set to strike on Thursday of this week.
