Chris Woodhead, the former head of the Ofsted schools inspectorate, says middle class children have better genes than those from working class homes.

Woodhead said, “I think it would be unlikely that large numbers of grammar school kids would come from those disadvantaged areas—the genes are likely to be better if your parents are teachers, academics, lawyers, whatever.”

This bigoted and offensive view confirms everything teachers and the left said about Woodhead while he terrorised state schools throughout the 1990s.

Woodhead is now the chairman of the Cognita chain of private schools, which has a £130 million turnover.

Maybe its part of his middle class genes which make him want to make money out of education.
