Almost 2,000 driving test examiners in the PCS union are set to strike next week over workloads.
Members have pushed back on the idea that existing staff need to work harder. Instead, says the PCS, there needs to be more investment to employ extra examiners.
Workers in 270 test centres will be on strike for four days starting on Thursday 8 February and ending on Sunday 11 February.
Pension regulators over 50 days on strike
PCS union members working at The Pensions Regulator (TPR) in Brighton were set for their 54th day of strikes on Thursday this week.
TPR bosses have imposed a 3 percent pay rise. Almost 400 members struck during the last five months in the fight for a real pay rise.
Union members held lively picket lines of up to 30 people on every strike day.
Fujitsu strikers out for almost a month
Around 300 IT support staff working for HMRC have been on strike since 18 January. Their strikes will continue until 15 February.
The dispute is over a pay uplift between 3 and 4 percent. The PCS union says this is ten times less than the sum Fujitsu is offering staff in Japan.
The action will impact self‑assessment tax returns due by the end of February. Sandwell council out for two weeks.
Some 100 Sandwell council building workers in the Unite union plan to strike for 14 days in February and March over pay.
They are angry that an agreed supplement of £2,900 has been withdrawn.
The workers intend to strike on 5, 9, 12, 15, 19, 23 and 26 February and 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18 and 22 March.
Ballot out to Asda workers in Wisbech
Workers at the Wisbech Asda store in Cambridgeshire have decided to hold a consultative ballot for strikes.
They will be the second group of Asda workers to ballot over strikes after Asda workers in Gosport voted to strike last year.
Ballot after Rolls pay deal rejected
Workers at Rolls-Royce in Derby began a ballot for strikes on Monday.
The workers, who build submarine components, for the British military, rejected a pay deal last month.
