Bristol: Activists brought eight banners to the CWU picket line at the Patchway office in Bristol at 5am during last weeks strike.
They included South Gloucestershire NUT, FBU, Unison and Bristol Respect. A delegation of teachers from Filton high school, which is near the Patchway depot, were applauded by the strikers after the teachers reported that the divisional committee had unanimously voted to send a donation of £500 to the Bristol CWU.
A letter to all South Gloucester NUT reps will be issued explaining the decision, and a collection sheet taken round schools.
Some £130 collected from workers at Filton high school was handed over.

Walthamstow, east London: Delegations from local Unison branches visited post workers’ picket lines at delivery offices.
A delegation from Waltham Forest Unison took their branch banner and £20 from a workplace collection to the local picket line.
The branch secretary of London Fire Authority Unison visited their picket line in South Woodford with a local school student.
He brought the branch banner with him and presented an official cheque for £50 and a letter of support to the CWU rep.
BT workers: Around 20 workers at BT CS and NO movement order management group have colle cted £94 for their fellow CWU members in the post. They will take it to the picket line on the next strike.
