Bosses at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have agreed to withdraw redundancy notices against 43 workers—after a successful strike ballot of 800,000 PCS union members.
The union’s DWP group executive met in Leeds on Thursday of last week, and agreed to call off a strike planned for Monday of this week.
This is the third time in six months that PCS has forced concessions by taking or threatening strikes.
