Israeli fighter jets repeatedly bombed civilians in Gaza last weekend.
Over 15 Palestinians were killed in the missile attacks, with at least 50 injured.
Mahmoud, a Gaza City resident, spoke to Socialist Worker. “The attacks on Gaza from Israel have been going on all night,” he said on Monday.
“Many people have lost their houses in rocket attacks. They are hurting ordinary Palestinian people.”
Israel destroyed targets including a concrete factory, a physiotherapy clinic, a power station and a water treatment plant. They also hit government buildings.
Israel also killed five Egyptian soldiers near the Israel–Egypt border a week last Thursday.
The attacks provoked fury in Cairo, where solidarity with Palestine has been central to the revolution. Thousands protested outside Israel’s embassy.
