Brighton and Hove refuse and recycling drivers were set to strike for a further three days as part of an ongoing dispute over pay and allowances.

The workers, GMB union members, were set to walk out on Thursday of this week and on Tuesday and Friday of next week.

The action short of a strike, including an overtime ban, is also continuing.

It is part of an ongoing dispute between the GMB and the Green Party controlled council.

The council is implementing cuts, but the local Green MP Caroline Lucas has previously sided with the workers against the council.
