IT’S OFFICIAL. The British government is so worried by the prospect of anti-war protests that it has downgraded its plans for US president George Bush’s state visit.

But that won’t stop the anger against the warmonger’s decision to come here. Bush will face three days of protests with the high point being a national demonstration in London on Thursday 20 November. Already campaigners report that there is a tremendous mood to demonstrate against Bush and Blair.

Blair’s problems have only just begun.

Now sign up to stop him

THE STOP the War Coalition has launched a petition against Bush’s visit. It says, ‘To those of us who opposed the senseless waste of human life entailed in the attack on Iraq, this invitation is unacceptable.’ It goes on to condemn the state visit as an endorsement of the US threats to other countries. Everyone should get it signed by as many people as possible.
