Dozens of students who were arrested on the anti-fees protests last year are due to appear in court.
They are pleading not guilty to public order charges at West London crown court.
Many are contesting police accusations that they were involved in violent disorder, assaulting police officers and aggravated trespass.
There are fresh concerns that defendants will face the same injustice as those convicted after taking part in the riots across Britain last month.
Campaign group Defend the Right to Protest is organising solidarity pickets of West London crown court on 7 and 14 September when the students are set to appear.
One student who was found guilty of aggravated trespass at Millbank Tower on 10 November last year has been sentenced to 150 hours unpaid work.
He has also been placed on a 8pm to 5am curfew and issued with an electronic tag until 1 January.
Students occupied the Milbank Tower, home to the Tory party HQ, during the first protest against proposed fee rises last year.
