English Defence League (EDL) thugs in Kingston-upon-Thames tried to organise a leafleting session last Saturday—but ended up sulking in a pub after local people confronted them.
The EDL only managed to get eight people to build support for their demonstration of hate in Tower Hamlets.
But around 20 Unite Against Fascism (UAF) campaigners turned out too. This was enough to force the racists to retreat.
One EDL member moaned on Facebook, “No fuckers turned up. EDL, you let Tommy Robinson down. Kingston division… won’t go to Tower Hamlets I bet. If you do, good luck.”
