Stop victimisation of campus activists

Workers at London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (Soas) protested on Thursday of last week.

Alexis Wearmouth is a UCU union rep for fractional teaching staff—employed on a fraction of a full contract. 

Activists accuse bosses of intervening to stop Alexis being re-hired there next year. But after the protest he has been shortlisted for interview.

Students went into occupation to defend activists at Birmingham University on Monday of this week. 

Last week saw disciplinary action against three students over their alleged roles in an earlier occupation.
