The fifteenth annual United Friends and Family campaign procession and rally was set to take place in central London on Saturday of this week.

Families of people who died in police custody, prisons and in immigration detention centres plan to march from Trafalgar Square to Downing Street.

They include the families of Azelle Rodney, whose shooting by police in 2005 was ruled “unlawful” this year. Last week the cop who shot Azelle lost his case to appeal the ruling.

The campaign also includes the families of Mark Duggan, Joy Gardner, Ricky Bishop, Christopher Alder, Kinsgley Burrell and Mikey Powell, among many others.

Annual Procession & Rally—assemble from 12.30pm, Saturday 26 October at Trafalgar Square for a march to Downing Street.
