Around 20 maintenance workers at the Shell Thornton research centre in Ince near Merseyside struck for two hours on Monday morning of this week.

They are members of the Unite union employed by Eurest Support Services.

Workers have already taken some action over the Christmas period. Unite accuses bosses of subjecting workers to “bullying tactics to intimidate them as part of their attack on unionised workers.”
