Manchester and Crewe united in defence of Fujitsu rep

An Employment Tribunal into the case of the sacked Fujitsu Unite union rep Alan Jenney is set to be held in Stoke-on-Trent on Thursday of this week.

Workers in nearby Crewe, where Alan works, have already struck against his sacking.

Now more than 300 union members who work for the IT firm in Manchester are balloting for strikes over attacks on the union and its agreements with the company.

Unite believes that Alan was targeted for redundancy and then sacked because of his trade union activities.

The Manchester ballot closes on Thursday of next week.
